About the Event
This exhibition focuses on various forms of hiddenness—ranging from physical objects lost in the dense wilderness to more abstract notions such as hidden emotions, thoughts, or social issues that exist beneath the surface of our everyday lives. The artists' works explore how nature becomes a sanctuary for secrets, how the thickets conceal not only physical forms but also stories, myths, ideas, and emotions.
The exhibition features works by four artists, each offering a unique perspective on the theme of concealment within the thickets. Among them is Kseniya Hnylytska, who through her paintings conveys the complexity and ambiguity of both nature and the human soul, and Petro Hronsky, whose sculptures explore materiality and form, addressing primal instincts and archetypes.
They are joined by a young Syrian artist, who, through his unique cultural experience, reveals ideas of concealment in the context of war and forced displacement, and Stephan Dill, a German artist…
